Ivan Tomić

Hi, I’m Ivan. Although you might know me as Vinterkarusell.

My story with sound started in a small radio booth in Stavanger, Norway. Back then, I spent my nights DJing in youth clubs and local venues, becoming obsessed with how a specific rhythm or texture could change the energy of a room. For me, music has always been about that shared emotional connection.

By 2008, that curiosity turned into making my own music. It became the best way to process ideas and feelings that didn't quite fit into words. Life got in the way in 2015 and I took a long break, but I eventually found my way back a decade later.

Coming back to it now feels different—clearer and more intentional. These days, what I make drifts between introspective ambient pieces and the high-energy pulse of house, trance, and drum and bass.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m usually out with a camera or a drone. My photography and video work are really just another version of my music; they’re shaped by light, weather, and the way a moment feels.
