Ivey Johnson is the epitome of, “word hard, play hard.” Both a tough worker and a lively personality, Ivey has experience in pitch writing, fundraising, and telemarketing. Currently, Ivey works as a virtual PR Specialist for a San Diego-based, digital marketing firm called, The Crowdfund Mafia. With, “The Mafia,” Ivey has been able to pitch to a national audience on successful Kickstarter projects such as, PRVKE21. Before joining The Mafia, Ivey worked as a Non-Profit Representative at the Columbia, South Carolina branch of Ruffalo Noel Levitz. There, she solicited financial commitments from family, friends, and alumni associated with the University of South Carolina network for scholarships, classroom technology updates, and other academic resources. Ivey, a Life Scholarship and McKissick Family Foundation Scholarship recipient, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in African American Studies. For the 2016-2017 school year, she is on exchange to North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. Ivey is set to return to the University of South Carolina- Columbia in the fall of 2017 and will graduate May 2018.
