Ilse Veronica Mazariegos
Boise, Idaho, United States
Hello! My name is Ilse Veronica Mazariegos. I am from a beautiful city called Antigua, located in Guatemala, Central America. I moved to the “City of Trees”, Boise, approximately ten years ago. Even though Boise has become a home for me, I hold very close to my heart my beautiful country of “eternal spring”, Guatemala. I am very proud of my roots and culture, I enjoy traveling every year to Guatemala to visit family and friends. I am currently a student at Boise State University, I am double majoring in Spanish and Psychology. I believe it is the perfect combination! I get to learn more about different cultures and psychology provides me with the tools to better understand them.
This is my last semester at BSU, therefore I have embarked in the journey of learning more about technology to be better prepared for when I leave this wonderful university. Technology has become such an important part of everyday life, especially in classroom and professional settings. I believe that technological advancements can provide more and better tools for learning, showcasing your work and even increasing the likelihood of being successful at a job. The experience I have had in my Spanish classes of using different applications to make better and more professional presentations, made me realize the importance of becoming more fluent in technology. Therefore, it is my hope and determination to gain the knowledge necessary to feel confident in the professional world I am about to become a part of.
