Ivy Perez

I’m a 24-year-old writer, graphic designer, and rapper in Chicago. I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2011 and have lived in Chicago's coolest neighborhood ever since.

I love to read both fiction and non-fiction, and I like to write essays, poetry, and spec scripts for Broad City. Recently, I’ve been especially interested in literary non-fiction, new journalism and the contemporary memoir.

I’m film buff, some of my favorite directors are: Pedro Almodóvar, Alfonso Cuarón, Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, P.T. Anderson, and McG (c’mon, everybody knows that the first Charlie’s Angels’ was awesome). A list of my favorite movies will be updated soon.
