Born and raised on the South Shore of Long Island. I studied journalism and women's studies at Purchase College before returning home to write for The Long Island Advance as a freelance reporter. Over the last five years, I've worked in journalism, public relations, and in social media management.
I earned a master's degree in Public Communication from American University in May 2013. My goal is to work as a social media strategist and special projects coordinator.
My work has appeared in numerous Patch sites, The Long Island Advance, The Suffolk County News, Islip Bulletin, and Amstat News. I am currently writing a book titled Mount Vernon Revisited, which will be published by Arcadia Publishing in 2014.
Passions include music, social media, writing, yoga, running, and of course, hula-hooping.
