After completing his MD, Shriki undertook extensive postgraduate training, starting with a Transitional/Internal Medicine internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston in 2001. He then completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident from 2004 to 2005. In 2013, Shriki transitioned to the VISN 20 VA Health Care System in Eugene, Oregon, where he continues to serve as a staff radiologist. His work, especially in lung cancer screening, has significantly improved the early detection and treatment of this critical condition among veterans.
Shriki has also contributed to the academic field as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington since 2013. He previously held a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California from 2006 to 2010, during which time he mentored numerous medical students, residents, and fellows.
