Jac Grady

Voice Teacher and Vocologist in Manhattan, New York

I am a Voice Teacher and Vocologist currently living in Manhattan, New York.

My hobbies range from singing in bands on Saturday nights, cooking recipes by Yotam Ottolenghi and volunteering for the NYC Dyke March.

I have a wide range of experiences in the arts, working as a teacher, song writer, recording artist and performer.

I started singing in opera choruses professionally when I was 14 years old and I've worked in regional theatre for many years alongside actors like Tony award winner Ben Vereen. Currently I sing with a couple different rock and americana bands and I often work as a back up vocalist on studio projects.

I specialize in Somatic voiceworks (for CCM and Musical theatre, yes I belt!), but also draw upon years of classical music training, as well as study in the Linklater and Fletcher techniques. I’ve also completed John Henny’s CVTA program and studied under Aaron Hagan.

I stay current with the latest research and techniques to help my students continually evolve.

I've been teaching for 14 years and do everything from audition prep to starting from square one. I believe that EVERYONE can sing and sing well.
