Jack Cody Greeley

Jack Cody of Greeley, Colorado, was a celebrated chiropractor and a man of many passions, deeply rooted in his love for nature, photography, learning, and family. Born on August 8, 1947, in Sterling, Colorado, Jack was the only child of Jerry and Ruth Cody. Growing up, he enjoyed close relationships with both parents, often exploring Colorado's rich landscapes, which fueled his lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.

Jack's academic journey began at Northeastern Junior College, where he graduated in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Special Education in 1969. His thirst for knowledge did not stop there; he further pursued a Master's Degree while teaching, during which he met his future wife from Iran. They married in 1975 and briefly lived in Iran, where Jack taught English and indulged in his passion for photography, documenting their experiences.

Upon returning to Colorado, Jack resumed his teaching career and completed his Master's Degree in Special Education in 1978. The following year, Jack and his wife celebrated the birth of their first child, a daughter. By the late 1970s, despite nearing the completion of a doctorate in Special Education Administration, Jack felt a need for a change. In 1983, he decided to pursue a new direction and applied to the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, which marked the beginning of a significant career transition.

Jack's experience at Palmer College was transformative, intertwining his love for visual arts and healthcare. He chose to write his doctoral thesis on the "Sense of Sight through a Photograph," exploring the intersection of visual perception and chiropractic care. Graduating in 1986, Jack proudly noted he was among the oldest in his class. He then moved his family back to Colorado, setting up a chiropractic practice in Greeley and reconnecting with his beloved mountains.
