Jack Brunson

Murfreesboro, TN

As a southern boy from a small town in Western Kentucky, I have always had musical aspirations. Currently, I am a Music Business student at Middle Tennessee State University looking for internships for Fall 2013. On course to graduate and enter the industry in May 2014. I specialize in publicity and public relations due to my affinity for working with other people. In my "spare" time I play bass for two different bands and other instruments in a various assortment of musical projects. The most prevailent is Uncle Skunkle, the garage rock band that I co-founded in 2009. I also co-founded and do publicity for a small record label, Funky Frankenstein Records, in Murfreesboro specializing in the almost lost art of cutting vinyl records with a lathe. Additionally, I contribute to and help produce and distribute Crucial Times Zine, a monthly community publication that covers music and art of Murfreesboro and surrounding areas. I am a history buff that enjoys to learn about historical music and aspires to be a published music historian one day.
