Jack Beighley

As far back as I can remember I’ve been doodling in the margins of homework, tests, and every other poor piece of paper that fell into my hands. Eventually I bought a sketchbook and from then on I realized how badly I wanted to create for the rest of my life. Enrolling in art school and living off black coffee, left over pizza, and old punk CDs, I’ve been working my ass off trying to get better and better at what I do. However, regardless of my situation, the pieces I make are still an extension of myself and my love for art, not a job I want to finish for a grade or a paycheck. My work focuses on maintaining a balance between fine detail and expressive mark making, to create graphic images with a grounded sense of drama and emotion.
