Jack Holland

Jack Holland has written seven screenplays, a television pilot, fifteen plays, three short stories, and eight theatre reviews published on the internet. He also was editor of two books currently available on Amazon, one an autobiography and the other a teen novel.

His script The Driver was optioned by Dreyfuss/James Productions and all of his plays have had staged readings or productions in Los Angeles and/or New York City.

He was a script reader for Dino De Laurentiis, developed story ideas for Rhythm and Hues, and created the Psychic Court television show for Total Telcom Media.

He was a part of visual effects teams that were led by Academy Award winners Richard Hollander, Bill Westenhofer, Mark Stetson, Richard Edlund, and Rhythm and Hues Studios.

His short film, Guilt Knocks, which he directed, edited, and co-produced, was featured in the Mata Hari film festival in Bonn, Germany and was chosen as film of the week on webdancefilmfestival.com.

As a director, producer, and editor he completed promotional videos for Moving Arts Theater in Los Angeles and Daly Bain Fashions. He also produced and edited a television show featuring non-narrative works of film and video for public access television. He has experience in casting, production management, and pre-production on feature films.

As rhythm guitarist for the rock band Wayne, he played on stage in clubs throughout the Los Angeles and wrote and recorded songs which received airplay on college radio from coast to coast.

He was a military policeman in the U.S. Army, a taxi driver in New York City, and a chauffeur in Hollywood.

He attended UCLA for scriptwriting and received a B.A. in cinema from Binghamton University in New York. At Binghamton he contributed as a filmmaker to the film Sorry / Hear Us, which was subsequently screened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. His short film, Jerry’s Massachusetts, was featured in the State University of New York state-wide student film festival.
