After a successful career as a Registered Nurse, to Corporate Executuve to business owner, I successfully sold my business in 2008. With the stress and obligations of running a business behind me and our youngest child away at college, I could devote time to anything of my choosing. I chose food. In February 2011, I launched my blog, Syrup and Biscuits, to chronicle my Southern upbringing, favorite Souern recipes, food memories and celebrate my beloved South. Relatively quickly, I gained a loyal reader base that continues to grow.

"Biscuits: Southern Recipes for All-American Kitchens" will be released by Skyhorse Publishing in Spring 2015.
