Jack Kellogg

Caddie and Flight Simulators in Parker, Colorado

My name is Jack Kellogg and I am from Parker, Colorado. I am an incoming sophomore at the University of Georgia studying finance. Growing up in the great state of Colorado, I took a keen interest to skiing very early in my life. Being the oldest child of two avid skiers, I was on the slopes very shortly after I learned to walk. Skiing is not only a hobby of mine, but a great passion and integral part of my lifestyle. I spend 30+ days per winter on the mountain doing anything from skiing through tight aspen trees to dropping fifteen foot cliffs. It might be easy to believe that skiing is just my favorite activity, however it is much more than that. I have experienced triumph and hardship while skiing and everything in between. I vividly remember working up the courage to drop my first cliff, and successfully doing that is one of my life’s greatest memories. On the flip side, I also remember badly spraining my ankle due to a rogue ski while dropping off of a cornice. That sprained ankle not only ended my season, but it also created a mental block that took me almost a full season to get over. Some of the lessons I have learned while skiing are applicable to the rest of my life. From enjoying triumph to dealing with tough setbacks, skiing has taught me plenty about how I should live my life.
