Jack Nagel

An experienced real estate developer and property manager, Jack Nagel has lived in the Los Angeles area for more than 50 years. He currently serves as President of the Nagel Construction Company (NCC) and as Chairman of Decron Properties Corp. Nagel began the former firm soon after moving to California, focusing on residential construction in the San Fernando Valley. By 1980, Jack Nagel’s company had planned and built more than 2,000 single-family houses. After about two decades, he expanded the business to include the development of multifamily residences, such as apartment buildings in West Hollywood and Los Angeles.

In the following decade, Nagel expanded the company's operations to include office buildings. While he sold some of the properties, NCC retained numerous units and began acting as a property manager. Today, the company owns more than 50 properties in California and beyond and employs 170 individuals. Through Decron, which holds management responsibilities for all properties, Jack Nagel and his son have expanded the holdings to include buildings not constructed by NCC. Such properties now comprise more than half of the firm’s units, and Decron’s team has increased their value since acquisition. Decron has flourished under the leadership of President David Nagel.

Before moving to the West Coast, Jack Nagel lived in Manhattan. He studied at New York University and worked for an import-export enterprise. Soon thereafter, he met his wife, and they relocated to California. They raised four children, and they enjoy spending time with their family, which now includes 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
