Jack Penalver

Presently working in construction management. Just finished a stint doing business and economic development in East Africa, primarily Burundi.

My background and interests are diverse. I've worked in luxury auto sales, church ministries, non-profit administration, and human rights lobbying. My ideological and philosophical trajectory is nuanced but shaped by my commitment to the Scriptures. More specifically, I adhere to historic reformed theology while anashamedly professing the need to properly and effectively contextualize the message of the Gospel to every person, in every culture; and this can be done without compromise.

My reading interests are broad yet I tend to stay away from fiction. I like history, historical biography, theology, legal theory, political philosophy, economic theory, philosophy (epistemology, existentialism, deconstruction, warrant) and I am trying to grow my Spanish skills. I am intermediate with NT Greek but enjoy it immensely. I love teaching, especially theology and apologetics.

Most importantly, I am a husband to a very beautiful person, my best friend and soul-mate, and I'm a father to two boys and a daughter.
