Jackson Hogan
Student in Athens, Georgia
My name is Jackson Hogan and currently I am a student at the University of Georgia, but I haven't always been a classic Georgia boy. I was born in Maryland where we spent all of two years before we moved to Atlanta. Before I could develop a deep southern accent, we moved to Ashburn, Virginia. There I learned how to play football and baseball. These were, combined with adopting our first dog, my favorite parts of Virginia. After a few years we moved to the middle of nowhere, West Virginia. At the elementary school my class consisted of two different grades had a total of eleven people in it, this was truly a small town. We wanted to go back to the city, so we quickly moved out to Park City, Utah. This was by far my favorite place to live. From learning how to ski jump, to having moose on our back porch, this was the place to be. Nine months of winter soon became my favorite thing but two years after we moved to Florida, the complete opposite. Florida is its own different country, thankfully we only stayed for six months. Finally we arrived in Augusta, where I spent all of my high school years and continued to play sports. After applying to a few colleges and getting into UGA, VT and the University of Utah, I decided to join my sister at UGA.
