Jackson Brown has been influential in New York City's contemporary art scene for over two decades. His distinctive artistic practice seamlessly integrates street art aesthetics and fine art techniques.
Brown's artistic evolution began in 1996 with his groundbreaking contributions to New York's reemerging Live Art movement as one of its few original members and most prolific artists creating dynamic large-scale painting installations at iconic New York venues such as The"Old" PRADA store in SOHO, The Puck Building, The Hammerstein Ballroom and Chelsea's infamous Gallery Row in addition to legendary clubland haunts such as The Chameleon Lounge, Save The Robots, BAKTUN and The Roxy to name a few.
Jackson has been featured in One More Robot, RAD Collector, Complex, The New York Times, Luire (Japan), Time Out New York, BIGSHOT, Mixer and FlyerNYC. Brown was also the first painter to show at the critically acclaimed Eyejammie Fine Arts Gallery and also the first visual artist to be featured at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Music Festival. Brown's work has also been featured in conjunction with the Smithsonian-affiliated Museum of African American Music at The City Without Walls (cWOW) gallery.
Brown's innovative approach to artistic creation has led to him working with brands such as MTV / Viacom, HBO and Assouline Creative.
As a multidisciplinary creative director, Brown has expanded his practice to include founding seminole streetwear brands VISULPPL and Brooklyn Arcade.
Jackson's expertise spans traditional mediums (oil, acrylic, aerosol) and contemporary techniques (digital art, installation, experiential design).
Jackson is currently working on an untitled collection of narrative paintings and drawings slated for a Spring 2026 release.
