Attorney Jack Tuckner earned his undergraduate degree from Hunter College, graduating with cum laude honors. He then completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the City University of New York (CUNY) Law School at Queens College. This public interest law school is dedicated to the service of human needs, a mandate that Jack Tuckner took to heart when beginning his legal career as a public defender in the Bronx.
After successfully trying many cases to verdict as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Bronx, he decided to establish his own practice. Jack Bryant Tuckner & Associates began in 1992 and it served for eight years as a holistic practice concentrated in women’s workplace rights. In 2000, he went on to co-found his current firm: Tuckner, Sipser, Weinstock & Sipser LLP. Through his work with his firm, Jack Tuckner fights gender discrimination in the workplace and pursues “equal pay for equal work”. He is currently one of the most respected women’s and civil rights litigators in the country, which leads to many public speaking opportunities.
Jack Tuckner has built a reputation as a gender rights activist, using his position as a prominent women’s rights in the workplace attorney to advocate across the media spectrum. He has been invited to speak on a number of prominent networks and radio stations, including FOX, NBC’s Nightly News with Brian Williams, NY1 News, CW11, 1010Wins, and National Public Radio (NPR). Additionally, Jack Tuckner has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the New York Daily News.
For the third year in a row, Jack Tuckner was recently honored by his peers, judges, and independent researchers as one of New York’s “Super Lawyers.” This distinction signifies that he is in the Top 5% of New York’s Labor and Employment Lawyers.
