Jack Youngs

marketer, entrepreneurer, and Student in Oxford, OH

I am a sophomore Entrepreneurship and Marketing Co-Major at Miami University’s Farmer School of business, seeking an internship for the summer of 2023. I am part of the Business Scholars program at Miami, and a part of the deans list in Farmer. Through my business education, I have become proficient at using excel, access, python, sql, and javascript. Through entrepreneurial opportunities, I have grasped an understanding of ideation and value creation. I’ve developed my communication and leadership skills through working in teams. Through these teams, I’ve done professional research, ideated, and pitched to KeyBank and created a marketing portfolio for Housewife Skateboards.

During my enrollment at Miami, I had the honor of being a teacher's assistant for the Entrepreneurship Department during my Freshman Year of college. As a teacher's assistant, I helped students develop their understanding of the creative mindsets, and how to create value through the creative problem solving process. Some responsibilities included holding weekly office hours, taking attendance, and aiding class with live examples of course concepts. I've taught workshops on brainstorming, validation interviews, value creation/ideation, and pitching to 30+ students over the spring of 2021.

I enjoy singing with the Miamis Men's Glee Club, and OpenFifth, a student acapella organization on campus. I love to ski with Miami’s Ski Club, and play recreational tennis and golf. I look forward to continuing to grow my professional and personal skills through an internship in the summer of 2022.
