Jacky Poteau

I am President and Executive Director of FATEM (Foundation for the Technological and Economic Advancement of Mirebalais), a Massachusetts-based non-profit organization working in Haiti in the areas of Education (tuition and school supplies assistance, teacher training, school meals, school construction and repair, access to potable water), Information and Communication Technology (FATEM hosts a student center allowing youth from the Mirebalais area to take free online Computer Science and Business Administration classes through collaboration with University of the People), and Economic Development (microloans to students’ parents for agriculture and small businesses development). He is also the Executive Director of 1000 Jobs/Haiti, a Rhode Island-based 501(c) (3) organization operating in Haiti with the sole mission of creating sustainable, fair and decent jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities in the Plateau Central, primarily. Jacky holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston University and a Microsoft Certified Professional certificate.
