Jaclyn Sweeney
Bradenton, FL
For the past three years, I have played professional golf around the world, on the LPGA, LET, and Symetra Tours. As a child I played and competed in a wide range of sports, including soccer, basketball, fencing, archery, lacrosse, golf and even down hill ski racing. In some respect I believe I was born to compete.Playing sports has helped shape who I am. More importantly, it has helped me become a focused, goal oriented, self motivated person.
I grew up just outside the Boston area and moved to Bradenton, Florida to purse my golfing career when I was fifteen. I graduated early from High School and attended Oklahoma State as a scholarship athlete. After a year of playing golf and representing Oklahoma State at Big 12's and the NCAA championships, I decided to transfer to Arizona State University. I represented ASU for 2009 and 2010, winning an NCAA National Championship in 2009. In the summer of 2010, I decided to purse my dream of playing professional golf. I left Arizona State in 2010 and went through Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and Ladies European Tour (LET) Qualifying School. I played professional golf on the LPGA and LET for 2011 and 2012.
Golf has given me the opportunity to play in over twenty different countries. Aside from golf, I love to cook and travel. Cooking is a passion of mine because I travel twenty to thirty weeks a year and I eat out a lot.
