Jacob Tacher
Jacob Tacher is an experienced and versatile musician in the Seattle area. Working as a drummer and solo artist, Jacob has played at great Seattle venues, such as Jazz Alley, Tula's, The Royal Room, Meany Hall, and more. Because of his experience not only as a drummer, but also as a vocalist and composer, Jacob's musical approach to drumming gives him the ear for multiple genre's and scenarios. He is experienced playing soul, funk, jazz, Latin, rock, blues, folk and contemporary.
Currently, Jacob is obtaining his Bachelor of Music degree from Cornish College of the Arts with at 3.84 GPA, while studying privately with Mark Ivester. Jacob is also currently a member of the Fig Trio, The Joey Lyon Project, as well as a worship leader and music coordinator for the Seattle Church of Christ. He also teaches guitar and drums privately as well as works part time as music copyist for River City Music when called.
Jacob has also been apart of the Evergreen Philharmonic as the principle percussionist, section leader of the Issaquah High School Drum line, section leader of the bass voices of In Harmony, a large men vocal ensemble, and in the rock group The Surgeons. Jacob has played in pit orchestras, and recorded with the Breath of Aire choir and the Salvation Army Brass Band.
