My name is Its_Crusader, I mean Jacob Thompson. When picking one thing that might define my life, it would be between sports and video games but what has made me as weird, knowledgeable and quirky as I am today, has been video games. For whatever reason, I have always loved video games as a child I watched my dad, and older brothers play, and by the time I could actually play I was already kicking their butts. One thing that I think is completely underappreciated about video games is how they can teach you about history and geography and things like that depending on the game. Throughout my life, before attending the University of Georgia I was always the smartest when it came to history at home or school, and I contribute that to playing a lot of strategy games set in the past. The most telling example of this is these two games called Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings 2 because of these games and events in the games I can give a brief history of most of what happened between 900Ad and now in almost all of Europe. Things like that are why I think video games are such a large part of my life my love for history can largely be contributed to me playing video games as a child. Also when my knee started acting up, and I quit playing baseball, I needed some way to get my competitiveness out, and video games also helped me achieve that so I think video games are one of the most important things that helped to define who I am today.
