Jacob Descheneaux

Newburyport, Massachusetts, United States

As a native of Nashua, NH and currently a member of the Newburyport community, Mr. Descheneaux attended the University of Massachusetts and received a B.A. in Political Science, with a second major in Communications. Following UMass, he received his Juris Doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Law. Mr. Descheneaux is a licensed Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Maine. Currently, he is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association and a supporting member of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Descheneaux is currently pursuing a career in the practice of law. Areas of interest include general civil litigation, employment/labor law, landlord/tenant law and workers compensation.

Mr. Descheneaux professional experience extends from politics to law. He was a legislative intern for the President Pro Tempore of the Massachusetts State Senate during the summer of 2009. While he assisted with daily communications and press briefings, the primary area of his policy research involved casino gambling and the expansion of casino gaming to Massachusetts. He has also worked in small to medium law firms from his time at UMass through law school. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, love to fish and am an avid sports fan.

Currently I am an Associate Attorney for Durkin Law P.C. in Boston, MA.
