Jacob Rancharan

I am from California and was born in the city of Bellflower. I am the middle child of three boys. I have an older brother who is 5 years older than me and I have an identical twin brother who is 5 minutes younger than me. I have a number of interests and experiences, from skateboarding and sports, to poetry and cooking. I have a passion for serving the Lord through serving his people. I have different ministry interests that I would love to serve others through such as church planting, youth ministry, women's ministry, fatherless children ministry, different para-church ministries, relationship reconciliation, and I desire to start my own ministries in the future. Regardless of where God takes me, my passion is to serve people. If I lived my life without ever serving others, I would consider it a life wasted. This is a principle I live by and hope to maintain throughout my life. My philosophy of ministry can be summed up in one phrase: Building Relationships. I am a big believer in the power of relationship building. We can have new and innovated programs and ministries. But we have to know those we desire to reach. Some we will know personally or generally and I am aware we cannot know everyone. Yet the power of knowing someone, is far greater than most of us realize. This is true of myself coming to Christ. The moment I felt pursued by someone in order to know me and not just to give me the Gospel, that's when it clicked for me. And for many others I have met and walked with during my journey of following God, I have seen this tangibly. People need the Gospel. But people need to feel known as well. As we get to know them, they get to know us. And as they get to know us, if we are consistant in our walk with Jesus, they will get to know God. If Jesus was a personal savior, as many passages of scripture show, than we must be personal in our service to our personal savior as we serve others.
