Started off life as a Pharmacist. Moved into developing and building condominiums. Retired in 1985, and blessed the Lord when my stockbrokers asked me to become a research analyst for them. I then wrote and passed my Futures Trading exam, and practised as a Futures Trader. After two years I joined a Stock Brokers in their research department. I then bought and managed a newsletter, Temkin and Moon.

In 1992, emigrated to Vancouver, Canada and became an Investment Advisor. At the same time, I became an author and wrote and published my first book, BRAKENSTROOM. In September 2011, I published my second book, The VASE with the MANY COLOURED MARBLES.

Today I write for Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities and Traders.com under the name, Koos van der Merwe. I am also busy with my fourth book.
