Can you imagine spending three days living in a remote tribal village in Northern Vietnam with no running water and a maggot infested bed? Try to imagine yourself being welcomed into a house full of strangers and given food and drink in the middle of rural India and then picture the smile on these people's faces when they see their image for the first time on the back of your camera. This is what drives me.
I am an internationally published photographer, writer, photo educator and keynote speaker specialising in travel, humanitarian and cultural documentary photography. Travelling the world to produce amazing imagery is not just a means of earning money to me but its a way of life. I spend the majority of my time when I'm not working thinking about where to go and what to see next. This curiosity inside me is what drives me to go out and see the world. I still feel grateful everyday that I have the chance to reproduce these moments and places in my imagery for others to enjoy.
Photography has opened many doors to me. Alongside creating imagery, I am also an active photo educator and writer on the subjects of travel and photography. I have delivered key note lectures for some of the world's largest photographic manufacturers at most of the biggest technology events in the UK. My written work has also been published to audiences worldwide by some of the most recognisable names in the world of photography and travel.
I also actively work in cooperation with many well known photography and travel accessory brands such as Manfrotto, Gitzo, Eagle Creek, Paramo, X-Rite and Phottix through the review and/or development of their products using my experience as an avid traveler and professional photographer to help improve and create products suitable for this environment.
I am available worldwide for photography assignments, talks, demonstrations and consultations.
