My name is Jacob Kim, and these are my eyebrows. They are very light, and sometimes do not show in pictures with the "right" lighting. The reason I present these to you is because they have some significance to my life. As you may be able to tell, my eyebrows are asymmetric. When I was about 12, my left eyebrow began to degenerate at the outer half of the body of the brow causing me to only have one and a half eyebrows. Not understanding what the hell was going on with my left eyebrow, I had to ask my father about it, and what he told me was essentially, "lol, me too." He had the same thing happen to him when he was about my age, and so did his mother (my grandmother). Like, I wouldn't be surprised if I had an entire genetic line of fore fathers with half their left eyebrow missing. Anyways, the reason why I'm writing about this is because I'm salty. I look at people with full eyebrows and sharp edges, and think to myself, "what if". When I first thought about writing about my eyebrows, I thought I was going to make it inspirational, like, "your flaws make you beautiful" kind of thing, but at the end of the day, nah. Flaws are flaws for a reason, especially when the slightest change in contrast in the wrong direction can make one of the most defining features of a face disappear from existence. But it could be worse. There are ways to remediate the lightness such as make-up, tattoo, and even transplant. The moral of the story is that be the best version of yourself that you can be.
Love,
Jacob
