I'm not going to tell you some sort of flowery story of how I've overcome so much adversity to get where I am today. I'm not going to shower you with purple prose detailing my achievements and uniqueness because, if I did any of those things, I would be a liar. So instead, I'll give you the (relatively) truthful, abridged description of me as I honestly view myself. I play the tuba, its a hobby. I am also a member of my high school's band, and am the singular tubist in the top ensemble. I enjoy the instrument, and I like to think that I could perhaps one day afford to buy one and play it for fun, even if I don't make a career of it. I enjoy math, math courses, and the many practical uses and applications of math. Since elementary school I have wanted to be an engineer, and my love of math, especially calculus, has only further driven me toward this goal. I enjoy collecting functioning antiques and vintage items, including hats, jackets, and the occasional firearm.
