Jacob Rubin (Hartford)
Business and Life Science-Focused Hartford Student in Newton, Massachusetts
Jacob Rubin was accepted into the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth College in November 2016 and plans to leverage his background studying the life sciences at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. As a graduate student in the five-year Neuroscience BS/MA program in Hartford, Jacob Rubin performed Parkinson's disease research that included rat gait pattern analysis and measuring the neurochemical content of brain tissue.
Jake Rubin learned about the Tuck Bridge Program from a pair of science major friends who completed the curriculum as a way of broadening their knowledge to include critical business skills. His aim through the program is to expand his graduate school knowledge to encompass aspects of the life science business such as market research, product development, and risk and profitability assessment. He views the program as one that will provide concrete steps toward future MBA studies and leadership positions in the Life Science industry.
Jake Rubin maintains a strong community focus and is a Trinity Alumni Fund donor. He also undertook numerous volunteer activities and served as ‘Social Environment’ Student Working Group team leader within the college’s Campaign for Community. One focus of the group was on identifying and eliminating exclusionary social environments on campus.
