James Jacobs

I'm a native of Wisconsin though now consider Southern California home having lived here since 1999. My family includes my wife, Jackie, and our dog daughter, Jenny, who adopted us in 2009 (a good year around here).

We live in Azusa, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, about 15 miles east of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl. I've spent most of my career in education, working as a college or university administrator in alumni relations/fund raising for several great institutions. I retired in July of 2022 after working as a planned giving officer at Claremont McKenna College for almost ten years.

My interests are many - bicycling, reading, gardening, volunteering for a number of different organizations, the Big Ten Club of Southern California (of which I'm a past president), keeping up with family and friends, serving as an owner of the Green Bay Packers (yes, I own stock in the Pack!) and enjoying the great weather that So Cal has to offer.
