Jacque Cook

Independent Artist in Argyle, TX, USA

I’m Jacque Cook, an artist based in Argyle, Texas, working in pottery, sculpture, and painting. My art is rooted in emotion and texture — I’m drawn to how form and touch can express what words often can’t. Whether I’m shaping clay or layering paint, I aim to create pieces that invite people to pause, feel, and connect.

Much of my inspiration comes from the Texas landscape — the quiet strength of open fields, shifting skies, and the beauty in imperfection. I see my work as a reflection of life itself: layered, unpredictable, and full of meaning beneath the surface. “Clay cracks, paint runs — and that’s part of the story,” I often say.

Beyond the studio, I love collaborating with my community. I work with local schools and art groups to make creativity more accessible and to remind people that art isn’t just for professionals — it’s for everyone. Creating something with your hands, no matter how simple, can be healing and grounding.

Art, for me, isn’t about perfection or prestige. It’s about connection — between artist and viewer, between people and place. Every piece I make is a small reminder to slow down, be present, and find beauty in the process.
