Jacqueline Pimentel

My name is Jacqueline Pimentel I was born and raised In Toronto, Ontario. I am in my first year of post secondary school, and currently enrolled in Creative Industries at Ryerson University.

I am a current employee at Gap Inc as a specialist, and have been for two years. As well, I have small entrepreneurial projects that I do on the side. My current project is buying rare articles of clothing and sneakers, then reselling them to either my followers on platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat, or to consignment stores around Toronto.

As my main focus is on my education for right now, I try to do these projects as a way to get prior experience and knowledge with business as an entrepreneur. I want to develop skills and look at my weaknesses as an up and coming entrepreneur before I finish school. After I have completed the four years at Ryerson, my goal is to turn this small project into a venture by opening my own consignment store with having the clothes and shoes I buy in a space, instead of selling through Social Media.

I also participate in volunteer work around Toronto at events in the creative industries. I did some work at TIFF editing and assisting the photographers. I also have been volunteering at the Canadian Fashion Awards for about three years now, and the Much Music Video Awards.

I love to get involved and meet people throughout different industries in Toronto. I believe that experience is one of most valuable things you can have. I have been lucky to have had the opportunities that have given me amazing experiences that I would love to share with whomever wants to hear about it.
