I graduated Lebanon Valley College in 2010 with my Bachelor’s of Health Science degree minor in Psychology. Throughout my college career I knew I wanted to start my own business, but didn’t know in what. Once I graduated I had received plenty of advice from elders to, “do what your passionate about, because you have to do it for the next 35 years”. I knew I wanted to help people better themselves. I worked as a physical therapy aide for 6 years and the best part about the job was the appreciation of the patients. The pay was terrible but I loved my job because I came home feeling accomplished and a better person. People were thanking me for helping them walk again, you cannot put a price tag on that. My other passion is wellness. Not until I turned about 16 and played softball at a very competitive level did I take exercise and eating well seriously. Since then I am constantly keep up to date with new research on food and fitness and trying them out myself to see what works and what doesn’t. Throughout college I had trained my sorority sisters and friends and received great compliments and appreciation on it, but I did it because I loved showing everyone how great you can feel, and the things that can be accomplished once you are at a better fitness level. Once I graduated I decided to get certified as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor and try to make money doing what I love. This is when I realized I should put my passions together and created Move Together Fitness.
I wanted everyone to be able to be apart it feeling great, so we first slashed the price. Starting at $37/ hour session we knew this was much more affordable than gym trainers. We also added a nutritionist on board since I am a firm believer eating healthy and exercise go hand in hand. Gyms are threatening so we made the location the comfort of your home. Wherever the client has the room is where they can begin a lifestyle change. People look to the Internet for answers all the time, now fitness is a Internet solution.
