Hi all! I'm Jacqueline, founding editor of A Brilliant Brunette, beauty lover, and grad student. Along with being a beauty blogger I am also a Bay Area makeup artist and offer other freelance services on my blog.

Beauty is a true passion of mine. I believe I have a flare for color and artistry, and a (healthy) obsession for tons of different cosmetics brands and products. Blogging, my other passion, allows me to share my love of makeup and all-thing-beauty with others. Having the opportunity to write and share my thoughts and ideas with my readers and anyone and everyone that is interested is something that brings such joy to my life. With my original career being in education, I have experience and fervor for colorful writing, editing, and writing to catch the attention of my readers. Blogging has also allowed me to learn so many new things. I've been able to gain experience in marketing, social media, brand awareness, SEO, advertising, and so much more. All of these factors combined is what has made being a beauty blogger the best experience and opportunity I've had yet.

Some of my beauty blogger career highlights include becoming a Beauty Ambassador for wet n wild Cosmetics, writing beauty articles for Become.com and Skorch Magazine, throwing a Twitter Party for Go-Girl Fashion Fixes, being featured in the debut issue of Makeup4All Magazine, and being chosen as the Too Faced Cosmetics Beauty Blogger of the Month (March).

Outside of blogging I love to cook and bake; I'm quite the cupcake baker and decorator. I'm a bit of a "girly girl" and love clothes, shoes, and handbags; I also love glasses which I just started wearing recently. They're my new obsession in the making! I'm a Bay Area girl, born and raised. My dream job would be anything that relates to what I do in the online beauty world. PR, copywriting, writer/blogger, social media manager...you name it, I'd love to do it!
