Life is full of opportinities for new adventures. We just need to stay positive to recognize them.
Eleven years ago I left steady, paid work. I felt as if I was jumping off a cliff. I entered graduate school and earned my MLIS degree with a 4.0 from Rutgers University. I was now certified to be a school librarian. At the same time, I chose to home school my daughter for two years.
Life tossed me another opportunity. Freelance writer and photographer for the Lawrenceville Patch. I made a lot of great contacts and enjoyed the adventure.
Now I am branching out in new directions.
At a son's request, I wrote his father's biography about his experiences as a World War II vet.
I write "ghost Patch blogs" for Lens Friends Studios in Pennsylvania.
I am helping launch the media side of Wildflour, a new gluten-free restaurant in my town by writing press releases, designing their website, and anything else the owner needs.
I'm open to more writing and photography opportunities.
Life has me training for half marathons, acting in community theater, writing grants for local organizations, scrapbooking, substitute teaching, traveling, and many other directions.
I am enjoying this adventure called life. Email me with more freelance opportunities. I look forward to having new adventures.
