After graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in psychology and neuroscience, I accepted a three year position as the project manager for a research grant at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. While in this position, I took advantage of the educational courses and opportunities offered by the university; I took courses in project management, change management, healthcare, research administration, lab safety, protection against abuse, and budgeting. I also educated myself in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Once the study ended, I accepted a position as a patient representative for Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, and I continued to attend courses in research, healthcare, process management, and safety regulation. In November of 2013, my husband accepted an amazing position in Westlake, Ohio. After moving to Ohio in late December of 2013, I founded an event planning company. I love helping others, learning, and growing in my career. I lover to teach myself new skills, and I pride myself in my ability to apply my skill set to many different careers and fields.
