I’m an award-winning writer, editor, and digital strategist who recently established my own content marketing firm, Cobalt Content Solutions. Prior to opening Cobalt, I served as the Director of Social Media at the Paper & Packaging Board, an agricultural marketing service that establishes promotions designed to help expand demand for paper-based packaging products.

As Director of Social Media, I oversaw P+PB’s digital and social initiatives for the Paper & Packaging - How Life Unfolds™ national campaign.

In 2016, I orchestrated the social efforts for the award-winning "Letters of Peace" campaign that delivered inspiring messages through handwritten letters from people who had survived immense tragedy. The campaign, which promoted the benefits of creative expression on paper, resulted in 9.5 million video views and 350 million impressions across print, digital, and earned media.

Following "Letters of Peace," I led P+PB's first experiential marketing effort at the 2017 South by Southwest Trade Show in Austin. The "Powered by Paper" booth, which featured innovations created from paper-based materials, was one of the most engaging booths at the high-tech conference.

SXSW offered P+PB real-life opportunities to engage the next-generation business leaders who could see the innovative possibilities of paper-based materials. As the real-life interactions took place on the trade-show floor, P+PB was part of the real-time conversations taking place in social, resulting in more than 85 million impressions.

Prior to P+PB, I enjoyed a versatile career in journalism that included a 12-year stint at USA Today. During my time there, I held several roles, my last being the Audience Engagement Editor. In addition to writing and editing high-performing news columns and daily newsletters, I created social content for USA Today’s nearly 10 million fans on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Snapchat. I also directed the content strategies for Your Take, a photography project that tapped into a new audience for USA Today.

Outside of work, I am proud to serve on the Northern Virginia Community College Marketing Curriculum Advisory Committee. As a member, I lend my expertise to ensure NOVA's Marketing curriculum is relevant to the needs of the students and the business communities.
