I am always trying new strategies for fueling my family within our budget. We are a very active family with both my husband and I working in the fitness industry. We love to eat copious amounts of fresh vegetables, along with proteins and a bit of fruit. We limit grains, dairy and stay away from anything that comes pre-packaged. In addition, we love treats, so we are often whipping up some healthy alternative to satisfy our sweet tooth, or teeth in this case. This way of eating is not usually cheap, especially when feeding six at a time. In addition, we homeschool; so we eat three meals a day together. So here I am, sharing the in's and out's of using food as fuel sprinkled with a bit of fun.
