Jade Pigott

I grew up in Ottawa and attended St. Matthews High School where I took as many business credits as I possibly could. This is where my interest in business; particularly Entrepreneurship began. I had taken Accounting, International Business, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship and thoroughly enjoyed each course.

When it came time apply to Colleges and Universities I applied for Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship, and Culinary Management. I have always had a passion for food and learning about different ingredients and dishes so I figured Culinary would be an interesting course. In the end though I chose Marketing.

Within one year of marketing I dropped out of the program because I decided career in Marketing was not for me. The following September I was enrolled in the Culinary Management Program at Algonquin College and I loved it. I graduated in 2012 and worked in catering, restaurants and briefly at the Prime Minister's residence along side some fellow classmates.

After a year of working I decided that I wanted to be restaurant owner. I quit my job after saving up enough money to enroll myself back in Algonquin College for Business Management and Entrepreneurship. I am currently in my second year and due to graduate in 2015.
