Expert of Experiential Event Marketing and Voyager in Seattle, Washington
By day, I am an expert in experiential marketing and promotional events management industry. I sold and fulfilled sponsorship to companies such as Verizon Wireless, Toyota, Safeco Insurance, and Kashi (to name a few). I managed marketing events such as retail in-store promotions, annual anniversary sales events, and touring branding vehicles for Car Toys, Inc. (automotive aftermarket and wireless retailer across 8 markets).. I launched digital/email marketing and social media programs. I produced year round nationwide tours for 7-Eleven. The programs included Slurpee, 7-Eleven coffee program (7-Election Mobile Oval), and 7-Eleven store grand opening events.. During my time at Wunderman (Y&R Brands), I managed 1st party and 3rd party events with Microsoft's Central Marketing & Operations team. Currently, I am the Events Project Manager at HTC (VR and phone).
By night, I speak Mandarin Chinese and English fluently and interchangeably. I still write and send cards the old fashion way (I make my own cards). I always have a running list of home improvement projects (perhaps it's from my degree in Interior Design...). I am passionate for travel, music (I play the flute and piano), photography, fashion, and mental/spiritual growth. I enjoy spending time as a mentor at Year Up, an award-winning national 501(c)3 organization striving to close the Opportunity Divide by providing urban young adults ages 18-24 with skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.
Life Motto: I am a firm believer if you want to change the world; it starts from within.
Favorite Quote: "Coming to a country later in life means you have to build your platform as a human being. You have to figure out who you are, how you present yourself to your potential friends, and what your story is. In other words, you have to build your own brand and market the hell out of it if you want some mates in the pub or on the playground. After all, as the odd kid you're going to stand out no matter what. It's up to you to make the most of it." - Get Big Fast and Do More Good, Ido Leffler & Lance Kalish, pg. 5
