Jaden Evans
Student and Consultant in Athens
I have been in Georgia my whole life. Gwinnett County is home base and where my parents live. Naturally, my family is the first thing I wanted to write about because they have been the most important influence on my “biography.” My parents (pictured on the left) are responsible for a lot of my success and a lot of my character. My household established a culture of trust and high expectations. My parents instilled in me that “to whom much is given much is expected.” They gave me a lot of trust throughout my life, and I have tried my hardest to repay them with good decisions and real results.
I'm doing alright on the results portion thus far. Since moving to Athens, I have learned so much about growing into an adult who can operate independently. But even that falls back to my parents' teaching. Attending UGA is an opportunity I worked for throughout high school. Since being here I have been given a lot, and I have put in a lot of effort to make it worth it. I have continued to set goals for myself and achieve at a level I know I am capable of.
One of my biggest goals, and the other family member I have not yet mentioned, are both tied to Nashville, Tennessee. My brother, who is three years older than me and one of my best friends, lives there, and I have made it a major goal to land an internship for summer 2027 in Nashville and join him.
