Khadi Madama

Khadi Madama is the inventor of a unique therapeutic Tai Chi program for physical well-being and stress management. The fundamental program has been modified to suit various special physical environments and conditions, especially where very limited space and gravity are a problem for habitation in space, where even an “impact load” is a vital consideration.

During 2017, Khadi's special Tai Chi program, Yours Truly, Tai Chi, was shared with her large audience on the educational channel at TV 21 NJ, where it was also an accredited course for Recreational Therapists and received an award from the Town of Toms River, NJ where TV 21 is located. Later that year, Khadi was invited to submit a paper for a brain and cognition symposium at Harvard's Medical School in Affiliation with Haifa Integrative Brain and Research Canter where her paper is now registered.

She has been a pioneer in the field of complimentary or alternative therapy since the early 1970's since first introducing the concept of seated therapeutic yoga at a geriatric symposium as a guest demonstrator/speaker. She has designed therapeutic Tai Chi and Yoga programs, as well as other specialty programs for eldercare and rehab suitable for all tiers of care from Independent Living-Assisted Living-Skilled Nursing and Memory Care.

Her unique stress management approach has been used by a branch of the US Navy Fleet and Family Services as well by St. Barnabas' Educational Nursing Department. She has spoken before various health care organizations such as The Visiting Nurses Association of New Jersey and on behalf of the NJ Chapter of the American Pain Management Association.

Khadi offers an adaptable approach through her uniquely choreographed programs into the field of Alternative Therapy, offering "training the trainer seminars," implementation and creation of unusually innovative programs. She is a Wellness Coordinator at BRB Consulting Inc, Quick-Seat Chair Inc, and formerly to Genesis, Regarded as an expert in adapatable physical exercise, her articles on the importance of having new and emerging concepts of wellness and the need for properly trained, properly created exercise physiology appeared in McKnight's Long Term Care News, where she has been a guest writer.
