Jae Rich

Janie "Jae" Richardson is a New York City-based Make-Up Artist with more than 17 years of experience specializing in but not limited to beauty, runway, editorial, and theatrical makeup.

Initially starting as an Architecture and Construction Management student at Pratt Institute, Jae's love and passion for art and fashion grew as she gained exposure to the fashion world. Starting as a freelance artist for local fashion shows and later becoming an artist for MAC Cosmetics has allowed her to expand her talents behind the scenes on New York Fashion Week shows, including designers such as Thom Browne and Kate Spade Desigual, Christian Siriano, and Michael Kors.

Exploring the concept of "beauty beyond the surface," Jae balances the idea of enhancing or altering elements of the face by focusing on the bond between colors, textures, and light.

When she is not painting faces or portraits, Jae spends time teaching seminars and educating clients on "self-imagery. "
