Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, I had never left my country until I became 21.
After participating a volunteering program in Eskifiord, Iceland for a month, I realized that the world is much bigger than I thought. I also came to the thought that I wanted to know more about the world.
So, I made a decision to study in the United States because the U.S. is one of the best places I can meet diverse people with diverse backgrounds. I am currently taking part in the 2-year dual-degree program between my Korean University and Indiana University. I spent my freshman and sophomore years in South Korea and now will spend another 2 years here in the U.S.
My personal goal is to pursue my own happiness, live my own life, and help others pursue their own happiness and live their own life, too.
I found the way to do this in IT Consulting. Even 4-5 years ago, my parents were so busy managing their small family business. They hardly spent time with us. However, after adopting one accounting software, they no longer needed to spend most of their day keeping inventory sheets and receipts. They now enjoy their leisure time pursuing their happiness.
After seeing this huge change in my family, I wanted to make this impact on other small sized businesses and their families, too.
I am interested in traveling the world and connecting with others. I love trying new things such as trying new foods and new products because every new thing makes me inspired.
I want to experience a lot, and achieve a lot from this 2 years of studying-abroad. And I hope this experience in the U.S will not end after 2 years and lead to greater opportunities.
