Jaime Dominic Pacao
piano, Barista, and Student in Antipolo
Since I became a musician, I have a saying: "Every note you play must come from your heart." I do not entirely wish to be a famous musician; I just want to give people an experience by playing music. I am not a composer, but I am a performer. I mostly play classical music, ranging from baroque to romantic era. My professor once said, "Every piece you play is about the composer. Not you." This sentence always rings a bell every time I walk on the stage. I am nothing but a player who brings people experience with the music I play.
I started playing the piano when I was 13 years old. I did not know it would be a great adventure since I played my first note. I deeply fell in love with classical music. I practiced throughout high school, and since then, I have dreamed of being in the UST Conservatory of Music, which I am now enrolled in. I am under the tutelage of Prof. Fe Marsha V. Nicolas.
I also arrange choral and orchestral pieces and produce pop/ballad songs. I have been to South Korea as an accompanist at the 2023 World Choir Games, which is a dream come true because it was my first time traveling abroad, and it is because of my vocation.
I offer my talent to the world so that the world can hear how beautiful music can be. I give justice and passion to music, for I am nothing but a deliverer who delivers what people deserve to hear.
