Jaime Halscott

As the managing partner at Halscott Megaro PA,Jaime Halscott thoroughly focuses on civil and criminal appeals. Once Jaime began practicing law, he could not help but notice how criminals are at the mercy of the criminal justice system in which their rights are often unprotected. As a result, Jaime set out to utilize his law degree to defend those whose lives have been forever changed by a conviction.

As an appellate attorney, Jaime understands that most individuals who have been convicted, do not understand their rights or the appeals process. He will extend plenty of time to his clients to allow for educating them on the appeals process, while also creating an aggressive defense plan and providing extraordinary legal counsel that each client deserves to receive.

Jaime Halscottreceived his Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Central Florida. Once he completed that degree, he continued to his Juris Doctorate Degree with Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.

While attending the University of Central Florida, Jaime held numerous important leadership roles such as Student Body Vice President and Student Body representative to the Florida Board of Regent's Council of Fiscal Agents. While attending the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, Jaime received book awards in Law of War and Cyberspace Law.Jaime also served as a member of the Federalist Society, Military Law Society, and as the President of the Students of eLaw.

Jamie is licensed in all federal court of appeals within the nation, as well as all military court of appeals.
