Jaime Vandergrift is an experienced educator, presenter, and conference planner. Jaime is passionate about Google Apps for Education and utilizing her passion for finding ways to support depth of knowledge through utilizing digital and print resources and pedagogical best practices. Jaime earned her EdS degree from the University of West Georgia in Media and Instructional Technology Spring of 2015. She holds Certification in Instructional Technology, Elementary Education, and an ESOL Endorsement. She is a Common Sense Media Certified Educator, as well as a Seesaw Ambassador, and a Class Alexa Early Innovator. She serves on the district Standards Based Report Card Committee, as well as serving as new teacher mentor. Jaime has held a variety of roles in education including consulting, instructional technology, and for now she has made the decision to lead from within and return to the classroom. Teaching 3rd grade again has allowed her a full circle view of educational leadership and instructional technology. Jaime teaches in a technology rich environment with an Activ Wall and an Activ Panel, in a 1:1 Chromebooks classroom. She relies on her experience of teaching 1:1 PCs, 1:1 tablets, and 1:1 Chromebooks as a technology teacher to make teaching and learning come to life! She is very passionate about language arts instruction, and making learning visible. While technology is at the heart of many elements of her teaching, she loves creating anchor charts with students for depth of learning. Her goal is to show that a balanced teaching approach is crucial.
