I have many passions in life. I’m an amateur musician, painter and photographer. I’m obsessed with health and fitness, and I’m a sports fanatic. As often as possible, I’m an adventurer and explorer. I’ve climbed mountain peaks, sailed the open sea, been healed by a shaman in the rainforest, even ran a 50 km ultra-marathon up and down a volcano. I’ve immersed myself in foreign languages and cultures. I do all of this because I’ve found that I learn the most outside of my comfort zone, so I try to stay out there.

A desire to make an impact, the intrigue of business development, and a passion for exploring foreign culture led me to join the Peace Corps in 2011. I found myself in Nicaragua where I taught entrepreneurship classes, advised small businesses and led economic development projects in the community where I lived. A large portion of my work was devoted to a leadership role within a committee to execute a nation-wide entrepreneurship education initiative that used creative problem solving and resourcefulness to generate new jobs and empower Nicaraguan youth.

I’ve finished my service in the Peace Corps and, after backpacking South America, have moved to Austin, Texas where I'm planning my next life adventures.
