Jalen Baker is a senior, Family and Consumer Science major with a concentration in childhood development and family relations at North Carolina Central University. A native of Durham, North Carolina he grow up in the NC Central community most of his life. He got his roots in the institution in middle school through many summer programs that eventually led him to go to high school at the J.D. Clement Early College High School located on the campus of NCCU. During his time there he developed his passion for Student Governance and student leadership. At NCCU, along with his matriculation with his studies he has served the Student Body in many organizations. Some such as Student Government Association where he served as special assistant to the Student Body President and Student Activities Board where he served as Mister Student Union, Vice President, and current President. His love for student and servant leadership has led him to want to lead a career in higher education and Student Affairs where he one day hopes to server as a Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs. He is also a proud member of the Gamma Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
